The Wesley Group Ministry was created to meet these needs in the
lives of everyone in our Church.
Wesley Groups will consist of 12 or less individuals who will meet at least once a month to share in true spiritual community. During these Wesley Group meetings, members are encouraged to openly and honestly share the joys, challenges and stresses of their lives and how they affect their spiritual growth while enjoying community, belonging and spiritual healthiness.
What is a Wesley Group ?
"A Christian small group is an intentional face-to-face encounter of no more than twelve people
who meet on a regular basis with the purpose of growing in the knowledge
and likeness of Jesus Christ." Hestenes & Gorman

Members: Will consist of individuals and
married couples of various ages, experiences and lifestyles in order to benefit from the
strength of diversity.

Leadership: Each Wesley Group will have two
people trained to facilitate group discussion and interaction.
·
Time: Meetings will last about two hours and
occur every 2 to 4 weeks.
Wesley Groups are unique and are not meant to replace other small groups you may be involved in such as:
A Task Group ... like clusters, United Methodist Men or United Methodist Women
A Study Group ... like Sunday School or a Bible Study
An Educational Group ... like a Disciple Bible Class
An Emmaus Share Group
A Church Committee or Ministry Team ... like Education or Evangelismn>
Wesley Groups are meant to strengthen our spiritual walk through trusting and authentic relationships. Other types of groups may have a limited duration, while relationships developed in Wesley Groups will last for a lifetime!
